Bunun Aboriginal Life Experience

If you come to Taitung with your children, you must experience the tree climbing trip and aboriginal tribal life experience at Luanshan Forest Museum. Because the number of people per day is limited, you must first make an online reservation. After checking in, the leader is our local Bunun brother who will introduce their aboriginal culture and the ceremony of worshiping ancestors. Taiwan's special betel nut and rice wine are indispensable. After carefully completing the ceremony, we began our banyan tree climbing trip. The intricate trunks and branches just made it easy for us to pass through them. The children were also eager to try and hoped to complete the entire tree climbing trip by themselves. Everyone jokingly called it an experience of monkeys climbing trees, but it has been a long time since I have experienced the feeling of climbing trees and looking into the distance when I was a child. I miss it so much! After climbing the tree, it was time for lunch. The tribe prepared aboriginal wild boar meat, fried wild vegetables, mountain vegetables, stream fish and stream shrimp for us. It was really delicious. We also experienced using bamboo to cut bamboo skewers to skewer and grill wild boar meat, and the aborigines pounding mochi. It was really not easy! I experienced the DIY lifestyle of the aboriginals. Both adults and children had a lot of fun. I hope I can come again next time.
