Japan | A Journey to Kurobe Tateyama, Kurobe Lake During Snowmelt Season

As spring transitions into summer, the snow around Kurobe Lake gradually melts, and greenery begins to awaken among the mountains. Walking along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, the air still carries the refreshing chill of melted snow, and the lake reflects the snow walls that have yet to fully thaw, creating a serene and poetic atmosphere. Starting from Ogizawa, I took the trolley bus into the tunnel, then switched to the cable car and the highland bus. Each segment of the journey felt like unwrapping layers of scenic gifts. Upon reaching the Kurobe Dam, the magnificent blend of man-made structures and natural mountain landscapes formed a breathtaking panorama.
