Phra That Phanom: The Spiritual Center of Both Sides of the Mekong River

Phra That Phanom is the spiritual center for the people of Isan and also for our neighbors from Laos. Throughout the year, both Thai and Lao people come to pay their respects and make wishes. It is highly recommended to visit and pay homage. Things to Know 1) The current Phra That Phanom that we worship today is a new structure built over the old one that collapsed. 2) Inside Phra That Phanom, the relics of the Buddha are enshrined. 3) Phra That Phanom is the sacred stupa for those born in the Year of the Monkey and those born on Sunday. 4) Dress modestly, respectfully, and appropriately for the sacred site. 📍Address: Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan, That Phanom Subdistrict, That Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom Province
