Akasaka Palace Guest House in Tokyo

Visited the State Guest House in the middle of summer during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was so hot that some people collapsed from heatstroke. There is little shade, so it seems best to consider the season when you visit. After a guided tour of the Japanese-style annex and garden, you can freely visit the main building. It costs 2,000 yen in total. It's not free. On the way there, you enter through a side gate that looks like a back door, but on the way back, you leave through the main gate. Security was tight in front of Gakushuin Elementary School and in front of the main gate of the State Guest House. Is it always like that because it was during the Olympics? I often pass through Yotsuya Station and transfer there, but I never thought there would be a place like this nearby.
