Special Asakusa travel story🇯🇵

#HotelAccommodationEvent One of the most impressive places during my trip to Tokyo was Asakusa. It was a place that was really charming because it had a good mix of traditional Japanese atmosphere and modern elements. Sensoji, a representative attraction of Asakusa, is the oldest temple in Tokyo, and it is a place where you can feel history and tradition. After passing through Kaminarimon (雷門), which is impressive with its huge red lantern, the main hall of Sensoji appears. The grand appearance of the temple and the peaceful atmosphere made me feel at ease. I was able to see various Buddhist statues and historical artifacts while walking around the grounds. Nakamise Dori, which leads from Kaminarimon to Sensoji, is a street lined with traditional Japanese shops. Here, I was able to enjoy various souvenirs and traditional foods. In particular, traditional sweets such as Katsu Secret Senbei (とろけるせんべい) are a must-try item. The shop owners were also very kind, so I felt good while shopping. In Asakusa, it is popular to rent a kimono and walk around the streets. I rented a gorgeous kimono at a kimono rental shop in Asakusa. The staff kindly explained how to wear the kimono and helped me style it with various accessories. It was a really fun experience to take pictures while walking around Nakamise Dori and Sensoji Temple wearing a kimono. It was a special and unique memory to feel like I was walking around Japan’s historical sites wearing traditional clothing. The rickshaw (Rikisha) experience is also one of the must-do experiences in Asakusa. I rode a rickshaw to see the main attractions of Asakusa. The rickshaw driver explained the history and stories of each place and guided the tour, which made it even more enjoyable thanks to his passionate explanations. Taking a leisurely ride on a rickshaw and exploring the streets had a different charm than walking. Tokyo Skytree is not far from Asakusa, so I also visited there. I went up to the observation deck of Tokyo Skytree, one of the tallest towers in the world, and I was able to see the entire Tokyo at a glance. Especially when I visited at sunset, the sunset and the night view of the city were truly beautiful.
