Hojicha Café in Sumida Park: Ho to Ka

Enjoy hojicha and rice flour sweets at Ho to Ka, located within Sumida Park on the Sumida Ward side. This café is set in a tranquil location surrounded by nature, where you can enjoy tea and sweets amidst lush greenery. The dango caught my eye, but since I visited during lunchtime, I ordered the grilled beef ham and cheese along with deep-roasted hojicha. The design of the "stroking cow," a motif of the Ushijima Shrine located within the premises, is adorable. With the pleasant weather, the glass-walled interior of the café feels refreshing. The adjoining park is spacious, with plenty of chairs and restrooms, so even if the café is full, you can enjoy your treats outside if the weather is nice.
