Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Tokyo in February

These are Kawazu cherry blossoms, which we visited at the end of February. They bloom beautifully along both sides of the Oyoko River, making for stunning photos. Kawazu cherry blossoms are a special variety that bloom early in Japan's spring season. They are named after Kawazu City in Shizuoka Prefecture, the first place to cultivate this variety. Their distinctive features include slightly larger flowers compared to other cherry blossom varieties, a deep pink color, and the earliest blooming period, starting from February to early March.
