Review of Tokyo Station and Surrounding Area

Two Worlds at Tokyo Station – The Historic Red Brick Building & Hidden Underground Alleys Visiting Tokyo Station during spring, I started from the Marunouchi Gate, explored the underground shopping streets, and hunted for unique noodle dishes. I took my time to soak in the atmosphere, both day and night, without rushing. 🏛 Main Building (Marunouchi Building) • This nearly century-old structure, designed in Japanese Renaissance architecture, has been beautifully restored with red bricks and two golden domes that shine magnificently both during the day and when illuminated with warm orange lights at night. • It's recommended to take photos during the early evening to night, where the long shadows of the columns reflect on the urban river, creating a serene yet grand cityscape. • In front of the building lies the Tokyo Station Plaza, a spacious open area with trees and fresh air, offering a momentary escape from the city's hustle and bustle. I entered Tokyo Station intending to catch a train, but I ended up finding peace of mind, tasting delicious ramen, buying over 10 souvenirs, and capturing postcard-worthy photos to take home.
