John knew that they built a house on the top of the mountain. The Virgin Mary died here, and John buried her body under this house. When you start walking into the area, you will see a baptismal well, which was built in the 6th century by King Justinian. He restored and built a church here. This house is a single-story brick house with 2 rooms, not very big. It is believed that Mary's body was buried 100 meters deep, but there is no archaeological evidence. Inside the house, photography is not allowed. Next to the house, you will see 4 faucets in a row: the holy spring, which is believed to be a sacred faucet, representing the belief in health, wealth, and love. But since it is not possible to identify which one is the real one, it is recommended to drink water from all 4 faucets. Next to it is the prayer wall. We can write prayers on cotton cloth.
