"End of Buddhist Lent, worship Buddha, make merit in Ubon Ratchathani"

"Wat Luang" is a temple built by Chao Phraya Pathum Worarat Suriyawong (Chao Kham Phong), the first governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, and is the "first temple of Ubon". It was built by monks and craftsmen who migrated from Vientiane, so they were influenced and inherited the architectural style of local Vientiane craftsmen. Inside the temple, there is a royal chapel built in the Luang Prabang style, which is the enshrined "Phra Chao Yai Ong Luang". Inside the ordination hall of Wat Luang is also the enshrined "Luang Pho Pak Dam".
