Naga Well, Dong Nong Tal Forest Temple

A natural well believed to be the “Naga Well” with the discovery of ancient objects that are over 2,000 years old, including Buddha images and various utensils. It is believed that this temple is related to the belief in the Naga because the entire temple area is full of wells believed to be the Naga Wells. This is Wat Pa Dong Nong Tan, located in Na Kha Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. It is another temple that is currently trending and people are flocking from all directions, so many that there is hardly enough parking space. This temple has a legend told by the abbot of the temple that the construction of the Naga statue before was the usual type that we see in various temples, but it was never completed. There were often various reasons for the construction to stop, until finally the Naga statue was changed to the Khmer style, which made everything look easy and went smoothly. As for the ancient objects, the temple will take them to be kept at the Sri Wiang Ta Local Museum. For those looking for the museum, it is located at the entrance at the Khong Gate.
