I suggest that you come as early as possible and get a ticket as soon as you arrive, because there are already many people when the door opens at 10 o'clock. I had to wait for almost 2 hours to get a ticket after 11 o'clock. But the good thing is that after getting the tickets here, you can walk around the area. Just scan the QR code on the ticket to see the number being called, so you don’t have to worry about missing it. Nakamura Tokichi actually has two stores in Uji, Kyoto, but the main store, which was converted from a tea factory, is more attractive. While waiting, you can also visit the souvenir shop next door. There is a Japanese garden in the middle, and some chairs are placed on the corridor for people to sit and wait for their seats. After you order, a pot of tea will be served first, and you have to wait about 3 minutes after it is placed on the table.
