What should I do if I can’t buy tickets for the Nadam opening ceremony?

This year's opening ceremony is on July 11, but tickets for the opening ceremony are hard to come by! Don't worry, there are actually a lot of warm-up activities starting from the beginning of July, please see my Nadam Festival Activities List for details 👇 The thoughtful Lao Shen has sorted out the wonderful ways to play for you as follows ✅ Although there is no ticket for the opening ceremony, you can still experience the Nadam's play list: 📅 Wonderful activities not to be missed: 👘July 8｜National Costume Festival + Photography Exhibition 11:40｜Photography Exhibition "Mongolian Pride-Forever Shining Mongolia" Opening 📍 Location: Sukhbaatar Square & Mongolian Art Museum 11:00~17:00｜"Wear Mongolian Costumes" Activity: You can rent clothes to take photos and check in📸 🎌July 10｜National Flag Day Military Parade Ceremony 🕙 Time: 10:00 📍 Location: Sukhbaatar Square Super shocking guard of honor and traditional cavalry formation, be sure to bring a camera! 🌃July 11th night｜Naadam Special Event + Ulaanbaatar Night 21:00~22:30｜Naadam Visitors Special Performance (National Stadium) 21:00~24:00｜Ulaanbaatar Night Cultural Evening (Sukhbaatar Square) 🎆 Free and open, the atmosphere is super lively! It is recommended to arrive early, there will be traffic control in the city center 🐴 July 13th｜Khui Doloon Khudag Horse Racing Final Day is the most exciting! 📍 Location: Racecourse (outskirts) 🕛 Time: 12:00~19:00 The riders are mainly children, the speed is very fast, and there are a lot of things to see! The Shepherd Festival also features Mongolian traditional wrestling performances + multiple rounds of competitions + cultural performances 👉 No tickets are required. Arrive two hours in advance to grab a good spot for taking photos📸 💡Tips: ✅ Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have a ticket. Many activities are held outdoors in the city center, and the atmosphere is as good as at home! ✅ You can go to Khui Doloon Khudag early to find a good viewing spot.
