London to Whitstable – Seaside Stillness & Oysters

#myfavoriteroute The journey from London St Pancras to Whitstable is my secret weapon for a peaceful beach day. In just under 1.5 hours, the train snakes through Kent and drops you right by the sea. It’s not the loud, flashy kind of coast – it’s pebbled shores, pastel beach huts, and amazing seafood. I always stop at the harbour for oysters and stroll along the Tankerton Slopes. Southeastern trains run often, and it’s rarely too packed. The calmness here is real — it’s my little coastal reset.
