Castillo de Santa Bárbara. It’s literally up on a mountain, watching over the whole town like a proud little fortress. Climb it, take the lift, whatever, just get up there. The views are insane. When you’re not castle-hopping or beach-lounging, there’s no shortage of spots to eat, drink, or just sit and soak up the sun. The marina’s fun for a stroll, and the palm-lined Explanada is basically the chillest walkway ever. Alicante doesn’t scream for attention, it just quietly wins you over.
