Venice and Florence Moments

#venice #florence Moments of Venice and Florence 💙 Come to Italy to eat Risotto, Lasagna or Gelato, never get bored; to see the colorful houses on the fairytale island of Burano; or sit on a Gondola boat with a curved bow... I arrived in Venice in mid-October, when the weather started to get cold and the seasons changed. Luckily, even though the water level had risen, the island was not flooded yet. Everyone should go to Venice around the end of summer, avoid the end of October and November, the island will be flooded and submerged. I heard that Venice Island will disappear in 50 years, so I promised myself to come here once in my life. [1. Transportation] I landed at Treviso airport. When I got off the plane, I went straight to the bus stop, without having to check in at immigration (probably because I flew from Paris). The bus to Piazzale Roma (on the island of Venice) or Mestre (on the mainland) costs 10-12€/person. Buy tickets at the counter in front of the airport. To get around Venice, download the AVM Venezia app. 1.5€/bus ticket, valid for 75 minutes. Or you can buy a 3-day ticket for 28€/person. [2. Tourist attractions] Venice is gentle, with a village feel, not a bustling, modern area. But I really like the atmosphere here, chill and comfortable. Not to mention the food is extremely delicious and cheap (only about 10-12€/main course) You can spend half a day on Burano and Murano islands, 7€/water bus ticket. If you have a friend in Italy, you can borrow a card, top up money and it only costs 1.5€/ticket. Then take the Gondola (80€/boat/4-5 people) to San Marco square, check in the Bridge of Sighs, admire the Cathedral, go to the Rooftop to see the whole city. You need to book in advance and each time you get 15 minutes to see. Then I went to Florence, a small city, quite crowded with tourists. I only spent 1 day walking around Florence. [3. Food] What I love and remember forever is Italian food. I'm back in the UK but still miss Lasagna, Risotto, Spagetti, Pizza or Spritz, Gelato. I will definitely come back to do more food tours here. Wish everyone a memorable trip in Italy 💙#venice
