Just walking along the lakeside made me feel relaxed, and the moment I went up the Skyline Gondola and looked down at the city view was truly impressive. I enjoyed an adventure by riding the luge at the observation deck, and ended the day by tasting lamb steak and wine at a lakeside restaurant in the evening. On the second day, I went to Mount Cook. Lake Pukaki, which I encountered on the way, had such beautiful emerald waters that I stopped the car several times. I couldn't express in words the emotion I felt when I walked the Hooker Valley Track, crossed the suspension bridge, and met Hooker Lake, which was created by glaciers and perennial snow. I spent the last day in Tekapo. The Church of the Good Shepherd standing against the backdrop of the lake and snow-capped mountains was so quiet and peaceful. At night, the sky was filled with stars, as befitting one of the world's top three starlight reserves, and I could see why this place is a must-visit for many travelers.
