Huishan Ancient Town is best known for its row of ancestral halls, which are rare in China. It is said that this place has been a gathering place for literati and clan family traditions since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it covers a large area. Walking between the ancestral halls, brick carvings, wood carvings, and stone gatehouses, each one seems to whisper the story of a family. And I couldn't help but walk lightly, as if I was afraid of disturbing the old dreams and nostalgia floating out of the cracks in the wall. Other travelers stopped at the houses and shops that were transformed into modern ones, but I was the only one who loved to linger under the dilapidated archway and admire the beauty of the ancient buildings of the Jiangnan ancestral hall. Surprising encounter There was an exhibition hall next to the tourist service center - it was the most modern and quietest corner in the entire ancient town. Inside, I saw a wall made of blue and white wrapped in a mirror-like floor and a golden tree standing quietly in the center. At that moment, I had the illusion of walking into a painting. And I had already stood in the painting unconsciously... I remembered that my favorite writer Zhang Manjuan once wrote: "Time is not for running, but for living well." And this year, I have traveled to many places, but under this tree, I suddenly realized that some places exist for "quietness". Huishan is such a place. It does not urge you to hurry, but only accompanies you to live slowly. The sunset dyed the ancient town a light blue.
