Generations of Wu clan members have gradually built this ingeniously laid out village. The village is not big, and you can walk through it in 2 hours, but if you want to appreciate it carefully, there are many details to explore. 2️⃣The ancient village is divided into two major building complexes, Shangwu Village and Xiawu Village, by the YueLu River as a natural dividing line. The essence of the scenic spots are in Xiawu Village. The unique courtyard-style houses are scattered along the water system. Between the white walls and black tiles, the villagers live here, pounding rice cakes and spinning yarn, with a strong atmosphere of life. 3️⃣Yuqing Hall and Jishan Hall, which say "A family that accumulates good deeds will surely have more celebrations", Rixin Hall, which says "The glory of the sun renews its virtue", Shende Hall, which says "A gentleman should be careful of his virtue first", and Shenshen Hall, which says "I examine myself three times a day" are the essence of the historical buildings in the ancient village, and they are connected to each other very closely, so it is easy to stroll around. 4️⃣A large number of exquisite stone carvings, wood carvings, and brick carvings are all over the gates, windows, and beams of the ancient buildings.
