A Sea of Purple in China — Tabebuia impetiginosa

Xinhui, Jiangmen in Guangdong Province of southern China might be best know for its dried mandarin peels but at the dawn of spring this Tabebuia impetiginosa grove welcomes the Lunar New Year with a sea of purple. The garden is a planted garden and it sells the saplings of this tree. In the first couple months of the year clusters and clusters of purple bouquets hang on the trees to make an amazing scenery to behold. The garden also opens its doors to local tourism.
