Introducing recommended shops in Yamagata. 1st-2nd photo: Day & Coffee A cafe on Suzuran Street near Yamagata Station. You can enjoy their carefully roasted coffee. I ordered a cafe latte, and they said they could make it a double if it wasn't espresso-like enough. I was so happy! 3rd-5th photo: Niku Soba Maizuru A popular shop that has a line even on weekdays. I went on a Sunday, and although the business hours are until 3:30 p.m., it was sold out by 2 p.m., so be careful. It's a cute soba shop. 6th-7th photo: THEATER SIDE CAFE slowjam A cafe next to the parking lot of the Forum Yamagata movie theater. They have a lot of Asian dishes on the menu, and I ordered Khao Yam. Not only is the interior cute, but the food is cute too! It was a very delicious lunch with a variety of different flavors.
