When I visited last Monday, about 60% of the blossoms had bloomed. With the warm spring breeze, they are expected to be in full bloom this weekend, making the scenery even more beautiful than when I visited! Although the plum blossom festival at Yangsan Wondong Sunmaewon has already ended, and I was worried that there might not be any food stalls, fortunately, the snack shop within Sunmaewon is still operating. You can enjoy various foods like Korean pancakes and tteokbokki. While the plum blossoms viewed from within Sunmaewon are stunning, another highlight is climbing the observatory to watch the train passing between the Seomjin River and the plum blossoms. During the plum blossom season, the roads leading to the area can get extremely congested, so arriving early in the morning allows for easier parking. However, the parking lot fills up quickly, and traffic becomes heavily jammed. During the plum blossom season, it’s recommended to visit early in the morning or use the train from Wondong Station.
