Weekend escape from Shenzhen, diving headfirst into the landscape painting of Yangshuo These two days and one night were truly healing! 🚄 Itinerary After work, take the high-speed train from Shenzhen North to Yangshuo or Guilin Station. Rest as soon as you arrive at night, and wake up to greet the upcoming journey～ Day 1: Ten-Mile Gallery → Yulong River bamboo raft ☞ Liu Sanjie In the morning, I rented a small electric scooter downstairs at the guesthouse. There weren’t many people, so you can bargain. Then start the cycling trip along the Ten-Mile Gallery 🏍️ Riding along the road, the breeze brushes your face, and the scenery along the way is breathtaking. Passing by the Big Banyan Tree, Butterfly Spring, and other attractions, although I didn’t go inside, taking photos outside was also very beautiful. Along the way, you can see many popular check-in spots! 📸 Many people were taking photos all the way; Guilin’s landscape is really photogenic! Next, go to the Yulong River to ride a bamboo raft. I chose the route from Shui'e Di Pier to the Comprehensive Pier. It’s safer to book tickets in advance, and remember to enter your ID information beforehand to increase your chances of getting tickets~~ When we went, there weren’t many people, so you can also buy tickets on-site! 🚢 A double raft costs 200 yuan, the whole trip takes about 40 minutes, passing through 4 rapids. Each rapid is super thrilling, with splashing water hitting you, cool and refreshing. Along the way, their staff take photos 📸 for 20 yuan each if you want a souvenir, remember to pose well! The scenery along the way is poetic and picturesque, with continuous green mountains and lush rice fields on both sides, as if entering a paradise, truly beautiful. 🌃 At night, we watched the large-scale live-action water and mountain show Liu Sanjie, which was quite interesting. 🎈 Little tips: 1. Be sure to do sun protection; the sun in Yangshuo is very strong. Bring sunscreen, a sun hat, and sunglasses. 2. When riding the bamboo raft, it’s best to chat more with the raft workers to learn about local customs. They will also help you find the best photo spots and enthusiastically explain the attractions. 3. When renting a small electric scooter at Ten-Mile Gallery, remember to bargain, usually around 30 yuan. This trip to Yangshuo was quite worthwhile, a great choice for a trip around Shenzhen.
