Special praise for the butler service—from check-in to garden tours, they explained every building’s unique features (psst: Building 9 was once reserved for state leaders 😂). Best of all? Just a 2-minute walk to Quyuan, skipping the long queues for morning tea. The emerald shaomai and Yangzhou fried rice were so delicious, we licked the plates clean! Nestled by Slender West Lake, the hotel offers lake views from your window, with black swans and koi fish gliding by. The gym is free, and after a soak in the private hot spring, a stroll through the gardens is the perfect way to embrace spring. A must-stay in Yangzhou!
