Yibin Daguan Tower

Yibin Daguan Tower, originally named "Qiao Lou", is located at the West Street entrance in the center of Yibin City, Sichuan Province, and was built during the Ming Dynasty (some say it was built by Wei Gao during the Tang Dynasty). The tower was later destroyed in a fire and was rebuilt in the Qianlong Yiyou year (1765). On the east eave of the second floor, there hangs a plaque with the three characters "Daguan Tower", each character measuring 1.5 meters square, bold and vigorous, written by Ji Xuanming, a staff member of the prefect Tuo Long during the Qianlong era; under the west eave, there is a four-character plaque "Southwest Bastion", written by Gu Ruxiu of Huayang in the Qing Dynasty, which is free and flowing, handsome and robust. The entire building is exquisitely elegant, towering and majestic, maintaining the traditional Chinese architectural style, resembling Beijing's Tiananmen Gate, and is locally known as the "Little Tiananmen".
