Of course, a seafood bowl with a lot of fish on top is good, but I couldn't help but smile when I saw the elegant presentation of several types of sashimi. Of course, raw and boiled whitebait are also available. This is the place to go! I visited here for lunch when I went on a tour to Tenjinjima. I think it was Sashima Kaneki, which I had been to once before. When I looked it up, I found out that it was a highly rated tonkatsu Hikonoya restaurant in Zushi. It was after 11am on a Saturday, but the first round had already entered the restaurant, and there was a group waiting in front of me. In front of the restaurant, there was some pottery that was probably from the previous restaurant and customers were welcome to take it home. We were let in after about 20 minutes. There were about four tables and four seats at the counter. The layout was the same as the previous restaurant. The interior was clean and the service was polite, giving it a very nice atmosphere. We ordered a sashimi set meal and a fried food set meal. The sashimi set meal came with four types of beautifully cut sashimi. They said it was yellowfin tuna, sea bass, conger eel, and Japanese Spanish mackerel. The fried food set meal came with three types of large fries. These were sardines, barracuda, and black rockfish. The fries were light and crispy, which is what you'd expect from a tonkatsu restaurant, and the fries were excellent. Originally it was a tonkatsu restaurant, so the fries were excellent! The akamoku seaweed was also delicious. I recommend adding it as a single item.
