During August and Sept I feel its the best time of the year because of its dry weather but hot, and this is where the park is filled with many tourists. As this is a tourists attraction there is an entry fee per vehicle of $35 unless you are keen to get the annual park price if you think you want to come back again. Yosemite National Park is HUGE! And if you don't wanna to walk there are several lookout points for you to drive around and view these scenic lookout around the park. But for us, we took the liberty to walk instead, and don't be surprise you will see many locals here sun tanning or just soaking themselves in the water to cool themselves off.
