The arrival time was around 8pm, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that the real magic began then. After dinner, we walked slowly down the street, and the night view that unfolded before our eyes was breathtakingly beautiful. The countless lights reflecting on the river, the quaint stone bridge, and the traditional wooden buildings that seemed to float on the water At that moment, I felt like this was a place where the true atmosphere of old China was alive. It felt like even time was passing slowly? Just walking around made me feel like I was the main character in a movie. 🏞 Tianmen Mountain — A path that reaches the limits of humanity The next morning, I walked in the calm dawn of Fenghuang and encountered another face of the city. An old couple taking pictures, a dog and a family walking along the river, people busily starting their day… It was so heartwarming because it really captured the ‘life’. And finally, I headed to Tianmen Mountain! It took about 3 hours, Wow… I was speechless as soon as I arrived. It was literally like a ‘work of art created by nature’. I was a little scared walking on the glass bridge, but it was thrilling and exciting. The path along the cliff was also very dizzying and cool. But the manager who went with me told me a shocking fact! The people who built these paths were death row inmates… I was surprised at first, but I think there was a reason for it. It was a place that I remember more because of that story. And! The scenery I saw while riding down the world’s longest cable car… I was just amazed. 🎭 Jiangxi in Korean? (Charming Xiangxi) — ‘Jangsi’ is a sad story That night, I saw a musical called Charming Xiangxi in Zhangjiajie… Wow, this was really unexpectedly touching. It was a performance that showed the traditions and cultures of ethnic minorities on various stages, and the story about ‘Jangsi’ was especially new. The Jiangsi I knew were characters in movies who ran around killing people and turning them into Jiangsi, but here it was completely different. They were portrayed as beings who took the dead back to their hometowns. And in the last scene, I couldn’t help but feel sad. (Go watch the last scene, it’s really touching) It was a truly beautiful and sad work of art that dealt with the boundary between life and death. *For your information, the left and right screens translated it into American, Chinese, and Korean, so it was easier to see 🌄 Zhangjiajie — The birthplace of Avatar Zhangjiajie National Park… I can’t express it in words. It was so grand and unrealistic that I wondered, ‘Can nature really do this?’ The vertically rising rocky mountains, the fog enveloping them… I thought, isn’t this just CG? The guide explained that thousands of years ago, this was the sea, and when the water receded, this terrain was created. When I heard it, I understood, and it was even more amazing. The only regret is that I couldn’t go to the Avatar filming location because of my schedule. 🦊Tianmen Fox Fairy in Korean? Tianmen Fox Fairy — A love story with a fox fairy That night, I saw another musical, the Tianmen Fox Fairy Show. It was a love story set against the backdrop of Tianmen Mountain, and it contained a sad romance between a human youth and a fox fairy. The stage was just ‘nature’, so it was overwhelming, and the actors’ movements were fantastic. In particular, my eyes got moist in the last scene where the fox fairy disappeared over the edge of the cliff. It wasn't just the story, but the nature and emotions blended together... It really touched my heart. * If you really go there, you'll see the stage and it's so amazing that words can't describe it. 🛫 On the last day, on the way back On the last day, we started moving from dawn. After a long trip from Zhangjiajie to Changsha Airport, we returned to Korea! It was a trip where my body was tired but my heart was full.
