Not only did we avoid the crowds, but we also captured stunning photos! 📷 If you want to enjoy a peaceful Chimelong experience and take beautiful pictures, this guide might inspire you. 1️⃣ Outside the Whale Shark Pavilion, there’s a large red crab claw where you can sit and take photos. Including the blue Whale Shark Pavilion in the background creates a nice contrast between warm and cool tones, making the picture more dynamic. 2️⃣ Inside the Whale Shark Pavilion, you’ll find the popular clownfish photo spot. Even with just a phone, the pictures turn out great. We waited in line for about ten minutes, but during busier times, the wait could be much longer. 3️⃣ Moving forward, you’ll see colorful jellyfish. The lighting here is quite dim, so it’s best to bring a small light source. Photos should be taken in RAW format for post-editing to enhance the colors. 4️⃣ Further ahead, you’ll encounter the giant whale shark. Timing is key here, as the whale shark doesn’t always swim past the viewing area. This spot is perfect for capturing silhouette shots of the whale shark swimming by. Note that it’s very crowded, making it hard to get both the whale shark and yourself in the frame. Professional photographers are available nearby, charging 30 RMB per photo. 5️⃣ The underwater tunnel is another great spot for photos. Using a low-angle shot can help avoid capturing other visitors in your frame. 6️⃣ The nighttime light parade and fireworks are spectacular, featuring drones and water stunt performances. It’s challenging to take portrait photos at night, so focus on capturing the fireworks instead! 7️⃣ We also took some photos at the Spaceship Amusement Park. The flamingos were photographed outside the park, along with other small animals nearby. 8️⃣ At night, we stayed at the Spaceship Hotel, which made it convenient to visit the amusement park the next day.
