Ximu City Stone Chamber is located on the eastern slope of about 50 meters high in Gushoushi Village, Ximu Town, Haicheng City, Liaoning Province. Built during the Bronze Age, approximately 3000 years ago, it is one of the larger, well-constructed, and well-preserved stone chambers discovered on the Liaodong Peninsula to date. In 2001, Ximu City Stone Chamber was selected as part of the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The stone chamber is a product of early human megalithic culture, widely distributed around the world. In China, stone chamber buildings are mostly found in the northeastern and Zhejiang regions, with those in the northeast mainly concentrated in southern Liaoning, built between the late Neolithic period and the Shang and Zhou periods. There are currently three main theories regarding the nature and use of stone chambers: one suggests they were altars for religious sacrifices; another proposes they were venues for public activities; and a third posits they were tombs of ancient nobles. In recent years, the domestic archaeological community has leaned towards the 'tomb theory,' i.e., stone chamber tombs. The classification of the national protection unit list also categorizes stone chambers under ancient tombs. The Ximu City Stone Chamber is about 2.8 meters high, with a rectangular top cover that is 6 meters long, 5.1 meters wide, 0.47 meters thick, and weighs about 45 tons. The stone chamber is made of six polished granite slabs joined together with precision. The inner sides of the stone walls have neatly polished stone nests, which are unique to the Ximu Stone Chamber. Experts believe these might be a form of ancient script. It is worth mentioning that the name of Gushoushi Village is also related to the stone chamber. Originally, there were two stone chambers here, collectively known as 'Gushoushi' (Aunt and Sister-in-law Stones). The 'Sister-in-law Stone' has been destroyed, while the 'Aunt Stone' remains intact, which is the Ximu City Stone Chamber. After arriving at Gushoushi Village, you can see a screen wall with the words 'Stone Chamber' written on it (see Figure 8) after driving a little further. Following the small path, you can go up the mountain. Although the dirt road up the mountain is generally in poor condition and narrow, making it difficult for cars to pass each other, it is still recommended to drive up as walking would be a long distance. You can drive directly to the stone chamber, where there is also a large open space for parking. Currently, the second exhibition hall of the Liaoning Museum's 'Ancient China' exhibition, in the fourth unit 'Suimei Relics and Curved Blade Short Sword,' features a miniature restoration model of the Ximu City Stone Chamber in the 'Liaodong Peninsula Stone Chamber' section (see Figure 9).

The Golden Tower is located on the western hillside of Yangjiaoyu Village, Ximu Town, Haicheng City, Liaoning Province. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces water on one side. Based on its structure and sculptural style, it is inferred to have been built during the Liao Dynasty. It is the most magnificent and grandiose among the 'Three Towers of Ximu City,' with the most exquisite and lifelike brick carvings. Every time the sun sets, the afterglow of the setting sun bathes the tower, making it appear golden and resplendent from a distance, hence the name. In 2013, the Golden Tower was selected as one of the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The Golden Tower is a solid octagonal brick tower with dense eaves, about 31.5 meters high, with 13 layers of tower finials. Each layer and corner has flying eaves. The tower base is carved with 18 layers of blue bricks, forming two layers of Sumeru pedestals, each side 4.1 meters long. The second layer has two layers of heavy-petal lotus to support the tower body, with carvings of musicians, figures, and crouching lions on each side, and corner warriors at each corner. The sculpting techniques and relief figures exhibit early Khitan ethnic characteristics of the Liao Dynasty. The brick carvings of the Golden Tower are exquisite and well-arranged. The brick carvings of dancing and musical figures, either playing the qin or blowing the xiao, are vivid and beautifully shaped. The half-body crouching lion brick carvings are lifelike and majestic, well-preserved among existing Liao towers. Each of the eight corners of the tower has a brick-built round column, with an arched niche on each side, housing a seated Buddha statue, which unfortunately no longer exists. Flanking the niche are attendants adorned with necklaces, standing on lotus flowers. Above the niche door is a carved canopy with four hanging drapes, with flying apsaras gracefully depicted on the canopy. According to the 'Haicheng County Chronicle,' there was originally a tower temple to the north of the Golden Tower, named Jinta Dachen Baolin Temple, also known as Jinta Temple. It was quite large, initially built during the Liao Dynasty and rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty. The temple had two stele inscriptions from the Wanli period, recording its construction process. Unfortunately, the temple was destroyed during the early Cultural Revolution and no longer exists. Exiting the highway at Ximu Station, you can see the shadow wall of the 'Three Towers of Ximu City' at the entrance of the small road leading to the Golden Tower (see the last picture). Currently, the road conditions on both directions leading to the Golden Tower are poor. Cars can drive directly to the foot of the hillside where the Golden Tower is located. There is a platform at the foot of the hill for parking. You can then walk along the stone steps to the tower, but some of the steps are damaged, possibly due to the lack of visitors, and the path up the hill is overgrown with vegetation.

I went to Universal in Japan and had a lot of fun. Luckily, there weren't many people on the day I went, so I didn't have to wait in line much and was able to ride right away. It seems that it's easier to have a pass with your admission ticket to have fun without worrying. With the pass, you can't use it right away when you want; you'll be contacted separately on the day to get a schedule, and you can ride the rides according to that schedule. There are a lot of long gaps between rides, so it can be boring, but Universal is so big and there's so much to see just by walking down the street, so the time went by faster than I thought. The parade was also really fun, and the Japanese staff were really kind. They don't speak Korean, but they try their best to communicate and they're always smiling, which was awesome. I want to go again next time!

Haicheng is a small place in China and can be easily explored within a day. There aren’t many things to do and attractions to visit in this town.
