It's a 3-minute walk to Hamburg Central Station, a 30-second walk to DM, and a 10-minute walk to Hamburg City Hall, so it's really close. I was assigned an odd-numbered room on the 5th floor, and it was really nice because I could see the Hamburg train station and the blue sky of Germany when I opened the window. And there was a Nespresso machine and various coffee capsules in the room, so I could save money on coffee. The bedding was soft and the room was warm, which was nice. If you arrive late, give yourself at least a 30 min buffer time to pick up your luggage and then swoosh towards the metro line (which takes you around 30 min to downtown) Attractions - the Hamburg Rathaus (Town Hall) is definitely a must. For kids, bring them to Miniatur Wunderland. Hotels - I booked a solo room at a&o Hostel Hamburg Hauptbanhog downtown that's 10 min by walk from the train/bus station.
