Family! I’ve discovered a super niche cherry blossom viewing spot in Nagoya—Yutoku Inari Shrine! It’s so hidden that you can’t even find it on Google Maps, yet it boasts breathtaking cherry blossom scenery! 📍 Location: It’s near Jōshin Station on the Tsurumai Line. Just a few minutes’ walk from the station and you’ll arrive. The shrine is incredibly quiet, with no tourist crowds, making it feel like your own secret haven! 🌸 I visited yesterday and caught the cherry blossom snowstorm! Pink and white petals were flying everywhere, gently falling on the torii gates and stone paths. When the wind blew, the whole world turned into a romantic pink wonderland. Even the Japanese locals passing by couldn’t resist stopping to take photos—it’s that beautiful! 📸 I asked a Japanese passerby to take a photo for me, and they were so polite and friendly! Not only did they patiently help find the best angles, but they also enthusiastically complimented me with "kawaii"! Here, you can enjoy stunning cherry blossoms while experiencing the warmth and kindness of Japanese people. We were on our way to visit the Yutoku Inari Shrine and had to find a place for a quick lunch - ended up finding this food gem nearby by chance! There were many people there (mostly locals) but the queue was constantly moving! To add, this place serves the best udon and seafood sashimi bowl we ever had by far! They are also super generous in their portions - if you order the Seafood Bukkake Don, you'll get soooo much sashimi that you'll have a taste of some sashimi in every single bite. So good that it's definitely worth a return visit. The only downside is that you might need to have a car, we drove there and it seems pretty secluded (or maybe because we went on a Monday and everything else seems to be closed.) #Spring0yenTrip The Ariake Sea was impressive for its unique landscape of tidal flats. When I visited, the tide was just going out, and I remember that even though it was supposed to be the sea, the land seemed to continue on forever. With the faint smell of the sea in the air, the boundary between the sky and the land seemed ambiguous, which made me feel a little strange. In some places, there were fishing boats parked alone in the tidal flats, which was also a picturesque scene. The Ariake Sea nori and mudskipper goods I saw at the roadside station were also interesting and local. It was a quiet but powerful sea.

After passing through the gate and climbing the stairs leading to the main hall, the view gradually opened up, and I could see the town and rural scenery at the foot of the mountain. In the quiet air, the vibrant buildings stood out against the blue sky, and I couldn't help but stop and stare. There were many small shrines and torii gates scattered along the way, and the path to the inner sanctuary was fun and adventurous. It was a place that had a strange balance of the bustle of a tourist destination, but also a strong sense of sanctity, and it was a place that calmed my mind. The souvenir shops on the approach to the shrine and the famous inari sushi were also very local, and they left a lasting memory of my trip.

Sunlight filtered through the branches, casting dappled shadows on the ground. The melodious chirping of birds and the lingering fragrance of flowers created a serene atmosphere. Every corner of the shrine was imbued with the essence of spring, and every moment was a sight not to be missed. In the afternoon, I passed through Shizuoka Park, where locals were holding a lively festival. The sounds of people, laughter, and music intertwined, adding to the joyous atmosphere of the spring day. Spending these two days in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowed me to fully immerse myself in the unique beauty of the season, which was truly a blessing. At night, I soaked in the rejuvenating waters of Ureshino's beautifying hot springs♨️. The water gently caressed my skin, washing away fatigue and leaving my skin smooth and delicate. #JanuaryGoodPlaces2025 This visit to the Yutoku Inari Shrine in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, allowed me to deeply experience the solemnity and spirituality of traditional Japanese shrines. Yutoku Inari Shrine is known as one of the three major Inari shrines in Japan. It deifies Uga-no-Mikoto and is a holy place where many businessmen and believers come to pray for prosperous business and good fortune. As soon as you step into the shrine, you will see the majestic vermilion main hall. The colorful building looks particularly spectacular against the backdrop of the blue sky and lush green mountains. Climbing up the stone steps, you can feel the atmosphere of traditional Japanese culture with every step. The surrounding red torii gates stretch upwards, which is somewhat similar to the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Kyoto, but there is less noise and more tranquility and peace here. Standing on the top of the shrine, you can overlook the entire Kashima City with a broad view, especially in autumn and winter, when the surrounding mountains and forests are dyed with layers of red leaves, the scenery is beautiful. In addition to worshipping and enjoying the scenery, there are also many special amulets and ema in the shrine. I specially bought an Inari fox-shaped amulet, hoping that it will bring good luck for the future. Overall, Yutoku Inari Shrine is not only a place to worship and pray, but also a great place to slow down and immerse yourself in Japanese culture and beautiful scenery. If I have the chance in the future, I will definitely visit again to experience the shrine in different seasons. I also recommend it to travelers who like to explore Japan’s traditional culture!

#Get a discount without relying on luck Yutoku Inari-Jinja Shrine This place was not in the travel plan at first. But when I searched, I found Yutoku Inari-Jinja Shrine in Saga Prefecture. It is one of the 3 shrines called Yutoku Inari Shrine. I want to go there. I want to add it. Looking at the journey from Kumamoto to Nagasaki, it will pass through Saga anyway. Let's go here and find a place to leave our bags. #How to get there 1. From Kumamoto Station, get off at Shin-Tosu Station and continue to Saga Station. 2. From JR Saga Station, take the JR Nagasaki train to JR Hizen Kashima Station, which takes 20 minutes. 3. From JR Hizen Kashima Station, take a bus for another 10 minutes and get off at Yutoku Inari Jinja Shrine, then walk for another 5 minutes. #Yutoku Inari Shrine was built in 1687 to house the sacred deity who bestows a bountiful harvest, similar to Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. Currently, there are many believers who come to pray for success in business and safety from all accidents. The atmosphere on top of the shrine is quite nice. Even before getting tired of walking up, you can pray for blessings. You will see that there are Inari pillars on top, but not as many as at Fushimi Inari Shrine, but it looks quite impressive.
