Hearing about ensaymada bread, trip to Malolos City is not complete without dropping by at Eurobake Restaurant and Cafe. It is located at the boundary of Malolos and Guiguinto, Bulacan established in the early 1980's. Ensaymada bread is a freshly baked soft browned bun topped with salted duck egg, butter and lots of cheese and sugar. It is my favorite and among locals and tourists of Malolos City, Bulacan. Casa Real Shrine has a long history which dates back only to 1980. In fact, it was built on the same ground where a late 16th century structure once stood. Today it houses the Museum of Philippine Political History. Visiting its galleries on the two floors gives you a quick glance at the political history of the country, from the pre-hispanic up to the modern times. While the items on display are limited and most of the artifacts are mere imitations of the originals, they are still informative. Barasoain Museum, which comprises the Ecclesiastical Museum and the History Museum, both housed in the convent adjoining the historic cathedral. At these museums you can find out more about the special role played by the town in the history of the Philippines. A light-and-sound presentation depicts events leading to the Philippine Revolution and the Philippine-American War.
