You can go shopping at Hunter Street Mall, or find a café to relax and enjoy a quiet time. Food and coffee Newcastle has many good restaurants and cafés, which are especially suitable for foodies. Fresh seafood, creative dishes, and rich Australian coffee are all unforgettable. However, we ate more Thai food here, which is more suitable for the Chinese stomach, haha. 4. History and architecture Fort Scratchley and Christ Church Cathedral are must-see attractions. You can feel Newcastle's past here, while also enjoying the beautiful sea views and ancient architecture. 5. Surrounding attractions Hunter Valley near Newcastle is a famous wine region in Australia, so don't miss it if you like wine. There are many affordable wine tasting wineries, and you can't go wrong by searching for good reviews on Google. The average wine tasting is 10 AUD per person, and the hot air balloon is definitely worth a try. We experienced the hot air balloon later, which cost an average of more than 300 AUD per person. Anyway Newcastle is a perfect city, with the leisure of the beach and the richness of culture.

Merewether Beach I think this is the most beautiful beach in Newcastle, and you can get there by walking along Bar Beach.
