Great city, I didn’t expect this to have so many interesting places, but what a lovely surprise. I would say two days would be enough to see most of it. It’s close to Santiago de Compostela , so A Coruna is a great base to get there, it takes 29th in on the train, make sure you book a ticket well in advance as the places on the trains are being booked out very quickly.

The Eracles Lighthouse, listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site, is nearly 2,000 years old and is still in use today. In the Middle Ages, the city was an important port and a center of the textile industry. In 1588, the Spanish Armada set sail from the nearby port of Fillol. In January 1809, the Battle of La Coruña, an important battle against Napoleon's rule during the Spanish War of Independence, broke out here. Sir John Moore, a British allied general in Spain, was killed in the battle and buried in San Carlos Park.
