You can get up close to grizzly bears, black bears, elk, buffalo, musk oxen, etc., most of which are free to move around in a large, near-natural outdoor environment. • Open daily until 7pm in the summer, free downtown shuttle buses are also available, making it a great place to arrange a half-day trip. • Adult tickets are about 27 USD, and children are 22 USD (free for children under 3 years old). The center also regularly hosts educational tours and wildlife interactions. 🚡 Girdwood + Alyeska Cable Car Experience It takes less than an hour to drive to the small town of Girdwood, where you can find the most beautiful alpine sightseeing cable car in Alaska: ❄️ Alyeska Aerial Tram • The aerial cable car system designed by Swiss Von Roll runs slowly for about 7 minutes in summer (the fastest 4 minutes in winter) directly to the top of the mountain at an altitude of 2,300 feet (about 700 meters)  . • The panoramic platform overlooks the Chugach Mountains, Turnagain Arm waterscape and glaciers. On sunny days, you can even identify bears and elk in the mountains . • Tickets are 43–48 USD for adults and 33–38 USD for youth (free for children under 6 years old); you can save 5 yuan per person by booking tickets online. • There is a small restaurant and the famous Seven Glaciers restaurant on the top of the mountain, which is suitable for tea or dining. I love the fact that you can either see the exhibits by walk or by drive. This place is about an hour away from anchorage. The best part is this center has rehabilitated animals such as Moose, Bear, Porcupine etc. There is also a gift shop here if you want to grab some souvenirs.

Initially named ‘Big Game Alaska,’ the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center started its operations in 1993. the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) is a sizeable habitat that accommodates different species of wild animals.They extend their services to wildlife by giving animals care in spacious, safe enclosures.This enable refuge to animals that would otherwise be too fragile to survive in the wild. Here, the animals enjoy maximum protection from human dangers (ie. hunting, destruction of habitat, etc.), predators, and diseases. There are hundreds of wild species that call this center home. This includes elks, moose, caribou, lynx, black and brown bears, and many more. It’s a great stop for wildlife viewing in their near-natural habitat. In fact, I highly recommend stopping here when visiting Alaska! It’s the safest way to see these beautiful creatures up close!
