ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama - Standard Double Room on a High Floor (Breakfast Included)
For the third day of a 3-night, 4-day Sanyo-San'in Pass trip, I booked a stay at the ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama, conveniently connected to Okayama Station via a sky bridge.
This marks my fourth stay in Okayama City, with the previous three stays being at hotels near the east exit of the station. This time, I opted for a quieter hotel on the west exit side.
The east exit area is bustling with attractions like Aeon Mall, entertainment districts, streetcars, Korakuen Garden, and Okayama Castle, making it livelier and more crowded with tourists.
Given my schedule of checking in after 11 PM and checking out before 8 AM, the hotel's location near the Shinkansen made it an easy choice.
ANA Crowne Plaza is a familiar hotel chain for me, having stayed at their properties in Kobe, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Toyama, as well as using their hotels in Osaka, Matsuyama, and Kanazawa.
I reserved the most basic room, a Standard Double Room, and requested a high floor. I was assigned a room on the 15th floor. Even the basic room features a bathroom with a view bath setup.
One of the highlights of ANA Crowne Plaza hotels is their sleep amenities, which include items like aromatic bath salts and Megurism steam eye masks. I always make good use of these.
The room features a wide floor-to-ceiling window offering views of Okayama Station, the cityscape, and even distant mountain views. However, the window does not open.
The reservation cost was just under 10,000 yen, including breakfast. This hotel chain is known for its excellent breakfast offerings, and I’ve always been satisfied.
The next morning, I attended breakfast at 6:30 AM. As expected, it did not disappoint. The omelet was delicious, the somen noodles were excellent, and the fruits, true to Okayama’s reputation, were delightful. Thank you.
