There is no sign, so unfortunately there is no history. However, there is a dedication stone monument with the names of nearly 60 companies, including Mitsuboshi Asphalt Tile Co., Ltd. It has been passed down as a temple guardian until now. Gansho-ji Temple was the head priest of Ogu Hachiman Shrine, which is located just a short walk away.
