Arima Onsen
Arima Onsen, located in Arimacho, Kita-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture (Settsu Province), is one of Japan's three oldest hot springs. It was also counted among the three famous hot springs in the Pillow Book. Additionally, during the Muromachi period, Banri Shuku included it along with Kusatsu Onsen and Gero Onsen as the 'Three Famous Hot Springs,' and in the Edo period, Hayashi Razan also referred to these three hot springs as the 'Three Famous Hot Springs of the Realm' (Japan's Three Famous Hot Springs). In the Edo period's hot spring ranking, it was rated as the highest rank, Nishi Ozeki. It is adjacent to the Setonaikai National Park area.
