#malaysiatrip If you're in the the driving distance from Bintulu - including Miri where I am currently working at, this National Park is definitely worth the visit if you have the time to 1) drive to Bintulu 2) have an entire day to spend trekking and chilling at the beautiful beach at the end of the trekking. The trekking is fairly simple, but it's more challenging in the distance. It requires trekking for around 9km one way to reach the Turtle Beach II. And a little further to reach Golden Beach - which I haven't been to. I have been here three times now, and for all three times, the landscape of Turtle Beach II greatly differs depending on the weather and the season. When the time is right: sunny weather, and not monsoon season, the water is a pleasant surprise : pristine clear.

Been staying in this hotel for a night with my wife & family. Really clean & strategic location, easy to access to anywhere in Bintulu. The hotel is very clean & friendly staff 😊 The room & the bed is very clean, good aircon circulation. Sarawak is hardly known for its beaches but Pantai Temasya Tanjung Batu is an exception. Since being revamped in 2017, the beach has been gaining lots of tourist traction. There are plenty of stalls nowadays open selling food and drinks while strolling along the breathtaking beach #meetkualalumpur

This is the awesome cafe with modern design environment I been in Sibu. The location was easy to find ,just beside the main road and carpark beside the building. I try the ice cream fruit waffle and cheese cake . the taste was totally amazing and not so sweet,I love it and enjoyed it very much. the service is good.And if u want to have birthday party or anniversary party,you can book 1st floor ,that is nice and different design with arch for party . If you visit one of the longhouse communities you may even get the chance to taste some more obscure and unusual dishes, such as jungle fern and wild boar, which are prepared in the traditional ways of the tribes people.

Kampung Jepak in Bintulu Kampung Jepak is a traditional fishermen village where majority of the inhabitants are Melanaus (Bintulu Melanaus) and Malays. It is separated from the main town of Bintulu by Sungai Kemena. You may be mesmerized by the traditional feature and lifestyle of Bintulu Melanau such as sago processing, fish drying, manufacturing of belacan (shrimps paste), cencaluk (salted shrimps), making of Terendak (Melanau Headgear) and Tutop (food cover or "tudung sarang / tudung saji"). I made in 1-night over in Bintulu during my trip in Sarawak. It was a fishing village that boomed after the discovery of gas fields off the coast. If I were not a chemical geek, I would not come here. On a sunny day, you can see gas exploration sites in the sea and Bintulu Port and LNG terminal in Kidurong from the left side of the plane before landing. Unless you use it as a base for jungle expeditions, I feel nothing special for tourists really but it's not boring at all. If you don't have car, you can visit the 100+ years old Tua Pek Kong Temple, the waterfront with The Spring mall nearby, and the night market in a day. The Old Town itself near the waterfront is an attraction containing shophouses.

Extended Holiday is upon us. Hurray.. I have decided to visit Bintulu for few days during this Gawai Festival. This is the first big celebration of Gawai Festival after 2 years interruption of covid pandemic. Things are slowly moving toward normalcy. It will be a big celebration with lots of tuak (locally brewed rice wine) consumed. I wasn’t a good drinker, so I decided to make a pass this year and headed to Bintulu to meet a long lost friend. Bintulu is a modern oil and gas town. It has among the world biggest oil and gas terminal in the world. Bintulu town is constantly changing and now has so many hotels and restaurants to cater for the oil and gas and heavy industries. Sometime quiet times with friends in a nice restaurant and have a casual drink is most enjoyable and it brought back so much memory of the good old days. My friend booked me a room at New world suite hotel. I guess I could have a good night sleep tonight ..zzzz

Bakun Dam has the same size as Singapore country.
