Our roadtrip to Satun, Thailand kicked off early in the morning as we drove out of Malaysia, crossing the border via Wang Kelian. Since it was a Malaysian public holiday, the checkpoint was quite crowded, with many others heading across the border — clearly, we weren’t the only ones craving an adventure (and good food)! As soon as we entered Thailand, our first stop was all about street snacks. We had cempedak goreng and banana fritters, freshly fried and absolutely delicious — crispy on the outside, sweet and warm inside. A perfect treat to welcome us into Satun! Next, we drove towards Kruang Tang Ke, a local seafood spot known for its fresh catch. We arrived in time for a late lunch, and it was worth the wait — the seafood was full of flavor, and the meal hit the spot after the long border queue. By evening, we checked in to Seesea Resort, located right next to Pak Bara Beach. The resort was cozy and clean, with a relaxing vibe. The room was comfortable, and the sea breeze added the perfect touch to our stay. The immigration process was super chill since it was a weekday, with no crowds or fuss.
