💗 I've shared so many summer Changchunbi hikes, and I can't resist sharing the autumn version! I believe many of you have been waiting for the snow-capped mountains and colorful forests of autumn.
Changchunbi in autumn is truly the pinnacle of western Sichuan.
Every mid to late October, the autumn here is incredibly beautiful. The mountains are covered with red leaves and colorful forests, looking like a painting, dazzling and brilliant.

❓❓❓ Why recommend the autumn Changchunbi hike
1️⃣ Rich scenery: Changping Valley, Siguniang Mountain, Bipeng Valley, snow-capped mountains, forests, golden mountains at sunrise, sea of clouds, colorful forests, and various autumn sceneries to explore.
2️⃣ Lower altitude: The average altitude is 3500 meters, which is relatively low for plateau hikes, reducing the likelihood of altitude sickness.
3️⃣ Stable weather: Autumn weather is more stable compared to summer, providing clearer views of the snow-capped mountains.
4️⃣ Not too difficult: Changchunbi is an entry-level hiking route, with the main difficulty concentrated on the last day when crossing the pass. More and more beginners are starting to try it!

D1 Chengdu to Siguniang Mountain Town to Lama Temple to Dead Tree Beach to Muluozi Camp

D2 Muluozi to Shuidaba to Turtle Rock to Chazigou Tail Camp
🏃♂️ Hike 11KM, about 5-6 hours
D3 Chazigou Tail Camp to Chazigou Tail Pass to Shanghai Reception Station to Lixian to Chengdu
🏃♂️ Hike 21KM, about 10 hours

Personal gear: Large backpack, small backpack (around 20L), sleeping bag (extreme temperature -15 degrees), windproof jacket and pants, fleece jacket and pants, down jacket, hat, sunglasses, headscarf, gloves, trekking poles, thermos, hiking shoes, gaiters, multiple pairs of socks, sunscreen, lip balm, personal items, headlamp or flashlight, personal tableware, toiletries, rain gear, knee pads, simple crampons
Shared gear: Camping tent (one for every two people), moisture-proof mat, cooking tent, dining table, cookware, food, fuel, walkie-talkie, emergency kit, oxygen, etc.
