Cruising Through Cotton Candy Dreams on Yunoko Cherry Line
Driving along the Yunoko Cherry Line in Kumamoto felt like entering a sakura wonderland. Both sides of the road were lined with blooming cherry trees, their branches arching overhead to form a soft pink tunnel. With each turn, petals rained gently onto the windshield—like snowflakes in spring. I rolled down the windows, letting in the fresh sea breeze and scent of blossoms. A perfect harmony of nature and the open road. This was more than a drive—it was a journey through living art.

[Japan🇯🇵] Kumamoto Yatsushiro Hinagu Onsen
#Spring0yentrip
I visited Hinagu Onsen in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture, and experienced a wonderful trip where history and nature are in harmony.
I stayed at Hamazen Ryokan in Hinagu Onsen ♨️✨ All rooms are equipped with a semi-open-air bath, and I was able to enjoy the soft hot spring water many times. Dinner was a luxurious banquet meal with spiny lobster and black wagyu beef, and it was very filling. The staff were polite and it was a comfortable stay. It is a wonderful inn that I would like to visit again.
Yude Shrine is a shrine located in Hinagu Town, Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture, and is loved by locals as the guardian deity of Hinagu Onsen. It is a mysterious space surrounded by a quiet bamboo forest, and at night the lanterns and lights create a fantastic atmosphere. After climbing the stairs, I could see the night view of Yatsushiro, and I felt like my heart was cleansed.
The shrine is said to grant blessings such as good health, freedom from illness, and prayers for safety in relation to hot springs and hot spring therapy, and many locals visit the shrine on New Year's Day or during festivals. It is a recommended place to visit as a healing power spot in combination with a hot spring trip.
The last place we visited was Hotarubashi, a beautiful bridge that blends into nature, and its combination with the surrounding scenery was a soothing place. Through this trip, we rediscovered the charm of Yatsushiro and it became a wonderful memory that will stay with us forever.

Beautiful, crunchy sashimi🐟
The wagyu beef tataki is colorful and chewy, the Japanese-style sauce is smooth, and the flavor pops out when you bite into it🥩
The thin roll with wasabi is called "Namida" (tears)✨
It's not enough to make you cry, but the wasabi is a strong accent😂
The cheerful proprietress's personality is strong!
You can have a good time while toasting💕
The store is spacious, with a counter and Japanese-style raised seating⭐️

[Minamata] Michelin star for shellfish soup✨
Big, plump clams ⭐️
[Kaijiru Nanri] is located on the outskirts of Minamata in southern Kumamoto.
The rice and smooth tofu are surprisingly sweet in themselves 😋
The hot bento rice, which is like steaming in a bamboo steamer, has a light, elegant broth.
I drove to this restaurant in a rental car 🚗
The roads are wide and the restaurant is big, but it's a place where you wonder if you'll really get there.
The range of places featured in Michelin is amazing.
The restaurant is spacious and has many raised areas,
and babies are welcome 👶

To the rice terraces in Samukawa, selected as one of the "100 best rice terraces in Japan"⸝⋆⸝⋆
The rice we eat every day
Terraces are not just a place to grow rice
You can see beautiful scenery like this
They create groundwater and sometimes temporarily store rain
To prevent flooding
Akaton It's also a place to protect creatures like burrowing ants and to produce oxygen.
This trip gave me a chance to learn more about the many blessings we receive from nature by working in the rice fields.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rice🌾 scenery in the fall.

Fukuda Farm overlooking the Shiranui Sea had a great view🍊✨
I had some time when I visited Minamata City, so I stopped by.
It was sunny, so the Spanish-style buildings looked amazing♡
The farm has
⚪︎Restaurant that recommends paella (reservations required)
⚪︎Tourist farm (mandarin orange picking)
⚪︎Bakery (take-out paella available)
⚪︎Direct sales store
There was a nice shop and the view was so great that I enjoyed it
I'd like to stop by again if I come to Minamata City.

Sakura Alley In Minamata
#cherryblossom2024
A border of cherry blossoms at the foot of the mountains
A strip of beautiful cherry trees winds along the forested shore of the Yatsushiro Sea, between the city of Minamata and the Yunoko hot springs.
It is interesting
This road is one of the hundred best places to admire sakura in Japan
There are about 500 cherries growing here
How to get
You can get here by Kyushu shinkansen. From the nearest train stations Shin-Minamata and Minamata (on the orange line of Hisatsu) to the cherry strip about an hour on foot. You can take a taxi in 10 minutes, or it is better to rent a bike.
Where to admire
The stunningly beautiful nature makes Yunoko Cherry Path one of the best places to admire sakura in spring. Admire the blossoms as you drive along the road by car or bike. The pink border of sakura is also visible from the window of the train that travels along the coast. Moving along the Cherry Path from Minamata, you can drive to Yunoko and spend a wonderful day at the hot springs.
Picnic Season
Cherries bloom at different times, depending on the weather and temperature, but usually the most beautiful period comes in the last week of March. To plan your trip more accurately, keep an eye on the bloom forecast. Finish the trip with a classic hanami (picnic under the cherry blossoms), sitting on a blue blanket with friends.

The farm produces an array of homemade goods, including wines, beer, juices, jam, bread and salad dressing, which are sold at the souvenir shop and used in the dishes served at the farm's Sevilla-kan, a beer restaurant and the Valencia-kan, a restaurant specializing in Spanish dishes.
