Can't stand the rain. Can we continue in the rain at Chiang Dao?🌧️
#Rainy season attractions
🌳 The atmosphere of Doi Luang Chiang Dao in the rainy season is full of
sea of fog alternating with mountains and Doi Luang Chiang Dao peaks.
For those who like hiking, you can go on a
nature study trail. For those who don't want to go through the hardship but want to
enjoy the beautiful sea of fog, you can go up to the Na Lao Mai village.
And the villages in the surrounding area will be able to see the view of
Doi Luang Chiang Dao up close, but it's far away.
💚 We can sleep here or if anyone is convenient to come on a
day trip like us, we encountered rain on the way back.
It's even harder to drive. If anyone encounters rain, drive carefully.

"Chiang Dao" which means mountain top
#Chiang Mai Travel
⛰️Today we have a place for hikers and mountain climbers to recommend. This place is "Doi Luang Chiang Dao Peak". This is a popular hiking spot for both Thais and foreigners. It is nicknamed "not difficult to walk but difficult to book". It is the 3rd highest peak in Thailand.
⛰️Since Doi Luang Chiang Dao Peak is located in the Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary, Chiang Mai Province, each year it is only open for a few months. You have to make a reservation in the system. Last year, it was only open for 1 week and filled up very quickly.
⛰️Once you have reserved your right, pay within the specified period to confirm your reservation. Before going up the mountain, you have to receive training 1 day in advance. We were very impressed by the management and participation of the people in the community here. Having tourists receive training before going up allowed them to behave correctly. This was the first time we went hiking where we hardly saw a single piece of trash along the way.
⛰️The walk was not very difficult. It was a steady walk, not very steep, all the way to the tent site. However, the steepest part is the walk up to watch the sunrise and sunset. You have to pull a rope a bit, and climb some rocks, but the view is sooo beautiful, a 360-degree view. If you have good eyesight, you will also see gorals standing on the top of the mountain, taking in the breeze.
⛰️If anyone is interested, please follow the Facebook page "Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary, Chiang Mai Province" around October. They will announce reservations every year. Go check it out, once in your life.
