This hot spring resort hotel, 'Okudogo Ichiyu no Mori,' has been in operation since the Showa era. Although it has a bit of an old-fashioned feel, it is very well-maintained, elegant, and high-class, with a noble retro atmosphere. The Japanese hot spring ambiance is perfectly created, especially since it is located in the natural mountain forest, far from the bustling crowds, making the entire environment superb. To be honest, the public spaces are more beautiful, but the rooms are still comfortable. Prices range from 3000 to 5000 New Taiwan Dollars, with an additional 500 NT for breakfast. The breakfast at the hot spring hotel is sumptuous, enjoyed in a European-style restaurant with a buffet. It's a rare leisurely experience. The hotel's large bath and sauna are also quite good, with the hot spring water being very smooth. Dogo Onsen truly lives up to its reputation.

In this quaint hot spring town, every photo is picturesque, especially on sunny days when each shot looks like a postcard. It was cherry blossom season when I visited Matsuyama Castle. The castle was so beautiful when it was transformed into a castle by cherry blossoms!
