Famous Peak: Mount Daisen
🏖️Overview:
Mount Daisen, standing at an impressive 1,709 meters, is the highest peak in the Chugoku region⛰️ and is affectionately known as 'Hōki Fuji.' From the fresh greenery🌱 of spring and summer, to the vibrant autumn foliage🍁, and the serene snow-covered landscapes❄️ of winter, the mountain offers a kaleidoscope of colors. Depending on your vantage point, it can appear gentle or rugged, showcasing a variety of expressions. Recognized as an outstanding natural landscape globally, it has been designated as a national park to preserve its beauty for future generations.
💞Why We Recommend It:
Start your day by taking the early morning bus🚌 from JR Yonago Station to Daisen National Park. Excitement builds⤴️ as you ascend via the Gyōja Valley🧘 route and descend using the Natsuyama trail. Along the way, you'll encounter glimpses of Mount Daisen's cirques, which keep the journey engaging with their sharp, dramatic features😎. Although the autumn foliage🍁 was just shy of its peak, the trip was absolutely worth it. Reaching the summit left us slightly exhausted😓, but we made it! The terrace lunch🍙 area was bustling with people. The view was quite foggy☁️, with occasional glimpses of the world below👀. On the way down via the Natsuyama trail, the descent was light and breezy, and we ended the day soaking in a foot bath♨️ at the base, completely relaxed. Mount Daisen was truly impressive❗️ Thank you😭.
