My child and I usually play late into the night and sleep until 9:30 in the morning, then go down for brunch before heading out. There is also a children's playground for toddlers on the right side of the entrance to the Delta restaurant. 2. The gym and swimming pool are on the 7th floor of the Sheraton guest rooms, no room card needed. The gym is of a decent size with common fitness equipment, but we didn't go, so it's hard to comment. We saw some people working out in the morning. The pool is divided into three sections: a children's pool with slightly warmer water, about 40cm deep, where you can't swim; and two standard pools, one 1.5m deep and the other 60cm deep. The changing room provides slippers and clean towels, but there is no family changing room. You can buy swimming equipment and clothes at the gym's front desk, which is quite convenient. There is a separate viewing passage outside the pool and gym, so you can check on your child anytime if they go in alone. 3. The 3rd floor of the Delta guest rooms is a study room, offering free light meals and drinks during the day, such as fried rice, meat, burgers, fruits, drinks, and coffee. The room lights are infrared-sensing, and there is a small screen device, but it is not very smart, and voice control is not very effective. It can play audiobooks for children. The room has a refrigerator. 5. There are taxis waiting 24 hours at the entrance, but it is recommended to use a ride-hailing app as the taxi fare at the entrance is almost double. Points for improvement: 1. The room facilities are average, similar to budget hotels like All Seasons, and the disposable items provided feel slightly inferior. 2. There is no self-service laundry room, and laundry service is charged per item and completed after 6 pm the next day. 3. No food delivery service is provided, and the delivery locker is on the 1st floor, so you need to pick it up yourself. This is quite different from hotels in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, where delivery robots are common. Overall, the child liked it and the food was good.

Kunming Delta Hotel is located in Guandu District, Kunming, and is practically a twin to Kunming Sheraton Hotel. They share the breakfast room, gym, and swimming pool. There is a shopping mall downstairs with comprehensive commercial facilities. It takes about half an hour by taxi from the airport and about 20 minutes from Kunming South Railway Station. Service: The check-in process is simple and fast, and the staff are polite. The hotel offers free gym access, and the swimming pool changing room also has a steam room and other facilities. For guests traveling with children, the hotel has a Super Wings-themed family suite, which can enhance the satisfaction of the little ones. Dining: The breakfast is quite rich, featuring Yunnan specialties such as roasted milk fan, rice pudding, flower cakes, brown sugar rice cakes, and tofu pudding. However, some guests feel that the breakfast flavors are average and do not well reflect the local Yunnan characteristics. Additionally, the restaurant may not be able to meet the needs of all guests during peak times.

| Delta Hotel. This time, I specially went to Kunming to check in at one of the only three Delta Hotels in the country. The hotel is located in the Economic Development Zone of Guandu District, adjacent to the Fukan City Shopping Center, and is a twin tower with the Sheraton next door, making it very suitable for a staycation. Originally, I booked two nights with 20,000 points, but a week before check-in, I found that the friends and family rate had dropped below 400 yuan, so I decisively canceled the original order. Since the hotel's suites are not usually available, the hotel pre-booked a 45-square-meter premium king room. The room is located on the 27th floor, a corner room with two panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a broad view, although there is really no scenery around. The large amount of light-colored design and wooden furniture in the room reduced some of the business atmosphere. Surprisingly, the room is also equipped with a Xiaodu smart speaker, although I mostly used it to listen to music, haha. The bathroom is relatively cramped, but the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows are still worth a good review. Delta shares a pool with the Sheraton next door. The pool design is commendable, but the water is very shallow, making it suitable only for taking photos. What impressed me most was Delta's elite tea room. Unlike traditional domestic lounges with timed afternoon tea and happy hour, the elite tea room offers sandwiches, salads, and ice cream all day, and two hot dishes in the evening, more like a Western lounge with all cold dishes. Breakfast is also at the Sheraton. Apart from the relatively rich noodle toppings, everything else is standard and left no impression.

As a special region where multiple ethnic groups converge, it preserves a rich and colorful minority culture along the way. The first thing that catches the eye in the lobby space is a series of exquisite paintings depicting iconic Yunnan attractions, such as the Stone Forest, the Red River Terraces, and the Lijiang Ancient Town. Displayed in the lobby are two exquisitely robust wooden horse artworks, evoking guests' reverie of the ancient international trade route's horse caravans. However, there are not many choices in Kunming, just Sheraton, Delta, and a newly opened Maple Leaf. Check-in is handled together with Sheraton in the Sheraton lobby. This time I booked a basic room, but was upgraded to a family room and it was decorated. The room should be a little bigger than the basic room, in addition to a large and a small bed, there is also a sofa. The TV is bigger than most hotels. Kunming Delta Hotel, welcome fruit has been placed on the small table in advance. The bathroom is next to the glass, you have to pull the curtain when taking a bath. It's not big but it's deep, suitable for sitting and soaking. Breakfast is shared with Sheraton, but there are quite a lot of people eating. The lounge is not shared with Sheraton, a Moyuan Pavilion Book Bar has been opened on the 3F, which provides some nuts and drinks, but I didn't have the chance to go. The swimming pool and gym are also shared with Sheraton, it's said to be good, but I didn't have time to go. Overall, the cost performance is good, much cheaper than the Sheraton next door. The facilities and services are standard. And it is currently one of the only two Deltas in the country.
