We drove from Takamatsu to Matsuyama in the morning and arrived at Matsuyama Castle around noon. There are many business districts and specialty shops around Matsuyama Castle, which are worth visiting. We took a personal cable car to appreciate the beautiful natural scenery around Matsuyama Castle. The Matsuyama Castle Tower is also worth a visit. I have always found the curve of the city wall fascinating. There is also a unique charm when overlooking Matsuyama City from Matsuyama Castle. The orange juice at Dogo Onsen is fun for kids. It was drizzling, so we strolled through Dogo Onsen with an umbrella. The weather was cool and comfortable. We took a rest in a foot bath nearby and ended the day.

Be sure to visit the second floor of the main building at Dogo Onsen. You will be treated well and the hot spring water is also very good. There are not many trains at Shimonada Station. Check the schedule carefully before visiting.
