⭐Rating (out of 5): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
✈️Travel Review:
The blue sea, the cute alleys, and the mermaid statues that look like fairy tales.
Busan itself was emotional.
In particular, the Hwangok Princess mermaid statue I saw on Dongbaek Island was impressive as she sat quietly looking at the sea.
If you look at the mermaid's eyes, you can see Gwangan Bridge, and the wind and sunlight at that moment are unforgettable.
The Baeknyeoul Cultural Village was healing as I walked along, with pretty props affectionately hung in every alley and colorful murals.
Haeundae Beach is a charming place both day and night. The moment I stepped on the sand with my bare feet while listening to the sound of the waves, all the fatigue from the trip disappeared.
📍How to get there:
- Dongbaekseom Island (Hwangok Princess Mermaid Statue): Get off at Dongbaek Station on Busan Subway Line 2, Exit 1 → Walk for about 15 minutes
- Baeknyeoul Cultural Village: Take Bus No. 66 from Busan Station → Get off at Yeongjuam Entrance, Walk for 5 minutes
- Haeundae Beach: Get off at Haeundae Station on Busan Subway Line 2, Exit 5 → Walk for about 7 minutes
🌿Attractions:
If you visit Dongbaekseom Island's mermaid statue in the morning, the light will shine on the sea, making it great for taking pictures.
Baeknyeoul Cultural Village is more recommended at sunset than during the day, as the atmosphere is more hazy.
Haeundae Beach is well-lit at night, making it a great place to take emotional shots.
🏨Hotel:
Centum Premier Hotel Duplex Suite Room
The two-story, separate bedrooms are charming, and you can enjoy the night view of Busan through the large windows. It was close to Centum City Subway Station, so it was easy to get around by public transportation, and there were many department stores and restaurants nearby, so I was 100% satisfied.
🍽️Recommended food & restaurants:
- Gomemilmyeon: Clear and chewy noodles with a deep savory flavor.
- Sangguk's Haeundae Market: Full of simple and filling snack menus.
- Cafe Cloud Mipo: An ocean view cafe that's great for stopping by while waiting for Sky Capsule.
🛍️Shopping information:
The Shinsegae Centum City Department Store, connected to Centum City Station, is the world's largest department store, so you can enjoy shopping and dining all at once.
At the Haeundae souvenir shop, you can find cute Busan illustration postcards, magnets, key rings, and other sentimental accessories.
At the handmade accessory shop in Heunyeoul Cultural Village, we also recommend hand-knitted dolls and postcards filled with the colors of Busan.
📸Emotional shot tips:
- If you take a silhouette photo of the Hwangok Princess Mermaid Statue with the sea behind it, it will look like a movie
- In front of the blue mural of Baeknyeoul Cultural Village, you can take bright photos without a reflector
- In Haeundae, draw an expression on the sandy beach and take a shadow photo to complete the photo of your life!
👍🏻Recommended traveler style:
- Travelers who want to take emotional photos
- Solo travelers who want to spend time alone while looking at the sea
- Couple travelers who want to walk quietly along the sea with their lover
