Travel 🇮🇳 Kochi, Kerala, India 🍀 Aryass Regent I am currently traveling in Kochi, Kerala, South India. India has a large vegetarian population, so there are many famous vegetarian restaurants. During my trip to Kochi a year ago, I visited Aryass Regent, a vegetarian restaurant, and enjoyed the food so much that I decided to visit again. Aryass is a chain restaurant, so you can find a location close to where you are. This restaurant was recommended by an Indian friend from Kochi during my previous visit, and I loved it so much that I promised myself to return! I ordered a set menu featuring dosa served with coconut chutney and sambar, along with idly, Paneer 65, and lassi. On my way out, I also bought a grape juice. All of this cost just 335 rupees, which is less than 6,000 won—a very affordable meal in South India. Dosa is a South Indian-style pancake made from fermented batter. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, offering an addictive taste. Pairing it with sambar and coconut chutney makes it even more delicious. Tearing off a piece and dipping it into the coconut chutney is simply irresistible! Idly, a fermented rice bread, is a staple in South India. Aryass’s idly has a wonderfully fluffy texture. Whenever I visit India, I always drink lassi, a traditional fermented Indian beverage. South Indian cuisine includes many fermented foods, both in meals and drinks, which aid digestion and make you feel comfortable. Paneer 65 is one of my favorite dishes. It features soft paneer fried and coated in a flavorful sauce called 65. The portion was so generous that I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it, but it disappeared quickly! Starbucks is an international brand known world wide which was started in America. Recently, I was in the state of Kerela in India at kochi, there seems to be a trend of both Costa coffee and stare bucks. Of course now it's during the Christmas season, many of these Starbucks outlet have started to sell Christmas collectibles that you are able to only find and the country itself, which makes it somewhat limited edition! Also, some of the coffee and food menu are specially curated to the country itself. 🇮🇳 Kochi, Kerala, India 🌅 Kerala Backwaters I am currently traveling in Kochi, Kerala, India. Watching the sunset at the Kerala Backwaters, which flow through the city of Kochi, was an unforgettable experience. The Kochi Backwaters are formed by seven rivers converging into the Arabian Sea. There are boat docks located 20-30 minutes by car from Kochi city center where you can board a boat to explore the backwaters. Simply search for 'Kochi Backwaters' on Google Maps to find the location. A two-hour boat ride costs $40 per boat. While you can share the boat with other passengers if there are enough people, I had to rent the boat alone as there were no other visitors at the time. Although June marks the monsoon season in Kochi, I was fortunate to have excellent weather during my visit. Riding the boat while enjoying the cool river breeze and stunning scenery made me incredibly happy. I timed my visit to coincide with sunset, allowing me to fully appreciate the breathtaking Kochi sunset. During the ride, I spotted rare birds like eagles and kingfishers. I also stopped by a small café along the way to enjoy a refreshing coconut drink. If you ever travel to Kerala in South India, make sure to take a boat ride at Kochi Backwaters and witness the sunset. 🇮🇳💚

I will introduce you to Arippa Restaurant, a local restaurant in Kochi that I asked my Indian friend from Kochi in advance and saved before my trip to Kochi. You can taste a variety of South Indian dishes here, and since it is a very popular local restaurant, I was able to eat after waiting for 30 minutes. I ordered 3 pieces of Palappam, Fish Mango Curry, Arippa Chicken, 2 pieces of Porotha, and mango juice and grape juice with coconut pulp. I ordered this alone and paid 1,161 rupees. At first, I thought it would be expensive because of the fancy interior, but I felt good because I ate until I was full and paid a good price. Usually, locals order one palapam and one curry, but I wanted to try a variety of things, so I ordered several. When you dip the fragrant porota in the mango fish curry, you will really applaud. The fragrant taste of the porota, which is baked in butter, fills your mouth with a really delicious flavor. The palapam also had a fragrant coconut scent, so I ate three. I was full, but I ordered one more palapam and one more porota. To be honest, I didn't really like Indian food, but South Indian food is really delicious. And I liked the fragrant and sweet mango juice with coconut meat, so I also ordered grape juice with coconut meat. It was a restaurant where I could keep eating even though I was full after a long time. If you are traveling to Kochi in South India, I highly recommend Arippa Restaurant 🇮🇳💚

The Four Points by Sheraton Kochi Info Park is located about a 50-minute drive from Kochi Airport, 30 minutes by car to the famous Backwaters, and an hour to Fort Kochi. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with well-functioning air conditioning. The bathrooms are also large and clean. Most notably, the rooftop pool on the 16th floor offers a fantastic view of Kochi city. On a sunny day, you can swim while enjoying the lush green scenery of Kochi.
